Play Packs

There’s no better way to keep your child engaged and having fun at home than a Play Pack from The Iowa Children’s Museum! These kits provide everything you need to make hands-on learning fun.

Eye See ‘Em

What can you find?! Constructed from reused materials and found objects, each Eye See ‘Em Monster is a free-standing installment in this public art and eye spy experience!

Virtual Workshops & Events

Join us for online adventures and play! During these virtual events, our museum educators hop on a Zoom meeting with you to imagine, create, discover and explore.

Fridays at 9:00 AM

Kinder Sing-Along (New Format!)

Join us for a playful 30 minutes on Zoom for Kinder Sing-Along with the ICM!  This is a free program for children and adults to interact together with songs, movement and stories.

Themes: Singing in the Rain (May 7), May Flowers (May 14), Animals (May 21), Imaginacres (May 28), Countdown (June 4), Pajama Party (June 11), Nature Play (June 18), Rainbow Connection (June 25)

Cost: Kinder Sing-Along is a free program sponsored by GreenState Credit Union

Online FunLAB: Dots!

Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, covered everything in dots and wasn’t sorry. You get to do the same in this interactive art making session! Using art materials you can find around your house, let’s create our own dots to cover a one of a kind art piece!

Materials Needed: Paper, Scissors, Recycled materials, Colorful scraps, watercolors/markers/colored pencils, Optional: paper hole puncher

Cost: Donations are appreciated, but payment is not required. We want everyone to join the fun!
