Celebrate Election Day with Use Your VOICE Day at The Iowa Children’s Museum! This special event will introduce children to the many ways they can engage in their community and make their voices heard. From voting in a mock election to hands-on activities in our Art Studio, kids will be introduced to important civic values related to Voting, Opportunity, Involvement, Community, and Engagement.
Throughout the day, children can cast their votes for our playful puppet candidates—Pete and George—or write in their own choice, all while learning about the democratic process in a fun, interactive way. Be sure to grab your voter button after casting your ballot and keep an eye out for our candidates as they campaign for votes!
The results of this year’s election will determine what dress-up day we will hold during winter break! Help your child discover the many ways they can use their VOICE to shape their world!
Please note that this is a mock election for educational purposes, and The Iowa Children’s Museum is not a registered polling place. To find your polling place for Election Day, click here!
All activities are included with museum admission (free for members).
