Help us bring our very own winter wonderland to life using shadows!
Stop by the Art Studio for a creative session blending art and science! Craft unique snowflakes using tissue paper, cardstock, and more, then bring them to life on our shadow screen to explore how light and materials interact. Little ones can explore tabletop shadow play with translucent blocks and a smaller version of a shadow screen. Join us for a magical morning of creating snowflakes while we learn about light, opacity, and translucency!
Please note: Activities from 9 to 10 a.m. are available during our Member-Only Hours. We open to the public at 10:00 a.m. and invite ALL little learners to join in the fun from 10 to 11 a.m.
We’re adding some extra merriment to Winter Break for Members! Be sure to check out our other “Member Merriment” activity on January 2nd where we will use gadgets and gizmos to explore basic technology concepts.
