Creativity looks different every month in the Art Studio! These drop-in experiences invite kids and families to explore different artistic materials, experiment with new techniques, and create together through hands-on play. In addition to all of the art supplies you’ll typically find in our Art Studio, check out featured materials, collaborative projects, and artist-inspired activities.

July Theme: Fiber Art Fun

Weave, wrap, stitch, and create with a variety of fiber art materials, including yarn, ribbon, fabric, and string. Kids can contribute to a giant group weaving, practice beginner-friendly stitching techniques with plastic needles, and explore texture and pattern through hands-on making. Featured activities include collaborative weaving and wrapping all month long, inspired by artist Aluaiy Kaumakan, and nature weaving on the 12th
