Description
Let your creativity soar with a “Super Sock Puppet Buffet” family workshop at The Iowa Children’s Museum!
In this 90-minute workshop, kids of all ages will have the chance to bring a sock puppet to life with the help of Brant Bollman from the Uplifting Puppet Co. We will have a variety of materials to choose from, including hand-dyed tube socks, ping pong ball eyes, buttons, beads, yarn, and more. Kids will not only build their own sock puppet, but they’ll also have a chance to create accessories and play in museum exhibits. This workshop teaches the art of puppetry and allows kids to express their creativity and have fun doing it. Sign up today and go home with a new friend!
This family workshop is recommended for ages four and up. Siblings, caregivers, and friend groups are all welcome! Children must be supervised at all times by the grown-ups in their group.
Family workshops at The Iowa Children’s Museum are pay-what-you-can. We ask attendees to pay a minimum of $10 per child for this workshop ($25 value) to help cover the cost of our visiting artist. Adults are free. We encourage participants to select the cost that they can afford, or pay a little extra to support other families and future programs! Member discounts do not apply to this program.
