Due to the ongoing public health concerns related to COVID-19, the Iowa Children’s Open planning team has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 ICO at Brown Deer Golf Club.

While this is disappointing news to report, through ongoing partnership conversations, it became clear that there was no way to ensure production of the high quality fundraising event to which we’ve all become accustomed. So as is the case for many event planning teams throughout the state, we are already regrouping for 2021. We are so thankful for your past support, and we hope we can count on that to continue next year!

Mark your calendars now for the return of our two-day Iowa Children’s Open event on June 3-4, 2021!

This event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of children in our community, and we need YOU to make 2021 our best year yet!

The tournament first began in 2010 when former Hawkeye and now retired placekicker for the San Diego Chargers, Nate Kaeding, and the CVB wanted to transform the Nate Kaeding Golf Tournament into an even bigger and more successful event. We are grateful to have Nate & Sam Kaeding and Kirk & Mary Ferentz as tournament hosts.

Event proceeds support both the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital and The Iowa Children’s Museum, two local organizations that have collaborated for years to improve the quality of life for children and families.

On behalf of all the children and families served by the children’s hospital and children’s museum…we thank you!
