This event celebrates the opening of North Ridge Park’s new Book Walk, a permanent outdoor installation that combines reading and nature. Created in partnership with The Iowa Children’s Museum, Coralville Public Library, and Coralville Parks & Recreation, the Book Walk is a playful way to encourage early literacy in a beautiful outdoor setting. This project also had special support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Boston Children’s Museum.
No festival is complete without snacks! Grab a bite from Stone Wall Pizza or sip on something tasty from Timber Grove Coffee Co. while you enjoy the festivities.
Parking is available at Community of Christ (right next to the park) or in the Coral Ridge Mall lot near Best Buy (it’s just a 5-minute walk along the walking path that runs next to Coral Ridge Mall and under Interstate 80 to get to the park)
This event kicks off a summer of free, outdoor programs from The Iowa Children’s Museum! Every summer, ICM2Go brings hands-on activities to parks throughout the Corridor. This year, all ICM2Go events in Coralville will take place at North Ridge Park, a fantastic outdoor space just a short walk from the museum. From music to movement to magical story moments, we invite you to PLAY in the Park with us as we welcome warmer days!
