Celebrate traditions of the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival with the Midwest Chinese Academy at The Iowa Children’s Museum! This immersive experience brings ancient customs to life with student-led readings and hands-on activities that highlight the festival’s rich cultural heritage:
  • Storytime in both English and Mandarin Chinese begins at 10:30 a.m.
  • Explore activities inspired by Dragon Boat Festival customs, including Zongzi (rice dumplings) and on-land boat play
