The Iowa Children’s Museum is looking for enthusiastic volunteers—both kids and adults—to participate in an upcoming photo shoot! The images captured will help us share the magic of learning through play, and we need friends like YOU to make it possible.
The shoot will take place on the morning of Monday, August 18, 2025, while the museum is closed to the public. There’s no script to follow or lines to memorize—just come ready to play and enjoy some summer fun before school starts!
Participating groups will enjoy 90 minutes of playtime in our exhibits while we capture photos that showcase the joy, creativity, and discovery happening in our space every day. As a thank-you, each participating group will receive a Family Day Pass to come back and play again!
We believe every child should see themselves reflected in the spaces where they play and learn. That’s why we’re especially hoping to include a wide range of families in this photo shoot—different ages, backgrounds, races, abilities, and family structures. If your family represents a part of our community that isn’t always seen, we’d love for you to join us!
