Create vibrant snake-themed red envelopes and bookmarks\, symbols of good fortune and prosperity\, and take a photo in front of our festive backdrop. \nDon’t miss the dragon dance performed by our friends from the Chinese Culture Club and the APAPA Eastern Iowa Chapter at 1:30\, 2:00\, and 2:30 pm—a celebration highlight that brings luck and energy to the New Year! \n\nSaturday\, February 8: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM\nMark the closing of the Lunar New Year season with an enchanting Lantern Festival activity. These special playtimes are the perfect opportunity to focus on your little one’s development through play. Each month\, we’ll feature a different play schema—key behaviors that help kids make sense of the world—and pair it with activities in the party room and an exhibit that brings it to life. \nCaregivers can explore the science of play with insights from our museum educators\, enjoy guided sensory activities\, and discover simple ways to extend the fun at home. \nPlease Note: Activities from 9-10 a.m. are available during our Member-Only Hours. We open to the public at 10:00 a.m. and invite ALL little learners to join in the fun from 10-11 a.m. Toddler Takeover activities are included with museum admission; no pre-registration is required.\n\nThese events are made possible thanks to support from our friends at The Learning Grove Academy – North Liberty\nUpcoming Themes\nJanuary 17: Spin\, Roll & Go!\nExplore spinning\, rolling\, and rotating as your child learns about motion and circular patterns.
