May Day Cookie Decorating

Let’s get together and prepare May Day Treats! Join The ICM’s own Kelly Moore to learn new cookie decorating techniques. Children will use their creativity to design and decorate one dozen (12) cookies to take home. Share your goodies on May 1st—or keep them for yourselves!

This is not a drop-off event. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Any age is welcome!

When: Tuesday, April 30, 2019, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Where: The Iowa Children’s Museum at Coral Ridge Mall

Cost: $25 per child

Mystic Tree Painting Party for Grown Ups

Grab some friends and head over to Big Picture Gallery for a fun evening of painting! Big Picture Gallery & Studio is a place to explore, enjoy, experience, and express. Ready to immerse yourself in a world of creativity? In this workshop, you will create your own version of “Mystic Tree” art. Becky from Big Picture Gallery will give directions to help guide your work. You choose background colors to express your creativity—or match your home decor!

When: Saturday, April 27, 2019, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Or leave when your masterpiece is finished!)

Where: Big Picture Gallery at Liberty Plaza

Cinco de Mayo Cookies and Margaritas

Grab some friends to celebrate Cinco de Mayo grown-up style by decorating fiesta-inspired cookies and sipping on margaritas at The Iowa Children’s Museum. After learning a few cookie decorating techniques from Heather, owner of Pink Umbrella Bakery, you’ll be free to get creative with your cookies!

When: Sunday, May 5, 2019, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: The Iowa Children’s Museum at Coral Ridge Mall

Mother’s Day Floral Arranging

Celebrate an early Mother’s Day with Hydrangea Bloom and The Mansion! In this workshop, you’ll create your own gorgeous small floral arrangement with Allison from Hydrangea Bloom and display it in a beautiful vase provided by The Mansion. Drinks, appetizers, desserts, and a special prize or two are also included.

When: Thursday, May 9, 2019, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: The Mansion Interior Design Studio

Cost: $40 per ticket

Mini Princess Cake Decorating

Let’s celebrate the princess in everyone! In honor of the new Frozen movie’s release in November 2019, we invite all princesses to come decorate their own mini cake. Each child will choose the colors and design; we’ll help bring the creation to life! The ICM’s own Kelly Moore will prepare the cakes, then the kids will make some magic happen.

This is not a drop-off event. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Any age is welcome. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
